Jay . . .

Jay has his last week of classes next week.

Jay graduates from law school in less than a month.

Is Jay scared?

NO!

The only thing worrying Jay at the moment, is if his mortar board graduation cap is too small for his big head.

Seriously though guys.

In all reality, the nonchalant, coffee sipping attitude this picture portrays is FALSE!

Jay is anxious. And nervous. And tired.

Both Louie & I can feel the energy created by the imaginary lightening bolts of stress radiating out from his too-big-for-a-one-size-fits-all-mortar-board-cap-because-his-brain-is-so-full-of-law-school-learnings-head.

Even when we're in the TV room watching Wheel while Jay is quietly studying in the office, we could cut the tension with a petite paring knife. Duh. Louie isn't allowed to use the Chef's knife. Or the Santoku knife for that matter.

Because, what if Jay manages to screw up three years . . NAY! . . . 17.5 years of schooling with a few bad final grades?! He could fail law school. And therefore life.

Dear Husband,

I love you. I'm so proud of you. Even if you fail law school. (Which, by the way, isn't even possible at this point.) Louie & I, & everyone else will still love you. And therefore, you could
never fail at life.

Just like Maverick said "Too close for missles, I'm switching to guns. "

It's time to switch to guns Jay.

Love,
Your loving wife.

And your loving pup. He loves you too.

Update: Jay has informed me that when you graduate from law school, the cap is called a "tam" not a mortar board. I can't tell the difference between the two but everything else Jay explains to me from his law school learnings confuses me, so why should this ill-fitting hat be any different?
